Gay Saunas

Comment: Saunas are usually known by the name Baños Turcos (Turkish Baths). Here are four I can recommend (but regretably, not one has a jacuzzi).
Some of them have condoms but they are not openly available and you have to ask. They don't have lube. There is hardly any safe sex information on display.
Here is a glossary for non-Spanish speakers -
Camara de Vapor - Turkish (steam) room. The leaves are eucalyptus.
Camara Seca - Finnish (dry) room.
Sala de Descansa - relaxation and rest room.
Ducha Española - cold shower.
Sala de Video - video room.
Cuarto Oscuro - dark room.
Masajista - masseur.
Piscina - pool.

Open daily. Exclusively gay, entrance charge is S/.20 except Monday, Wednesday and Friday when it is S/.15. There is a Finnish room, two Turkish rooms, bar, TV room, and upstairs there is a porno video room, dark room, 9 private cabins and male masseurs. Clean and well-maintained, and has been completely refurbished over the last year. This sauna is the most active of the four and the all-nighters on Saturday night are very active so I am told. Most popular times are from late afternoon onwards, particularly Thu., Fri. and Sat. This is not a very safe area to walk in at night so take a taxi when arriving or leaving. Highly recommended if you are seeking action.

Modern and exclusively gay. There are two Finnish rooms, two Turkish rooms, male masseur, pedicure, manicure, gymnasium, cafeteria and bar, porno video room and about 12 private cabins. It is very clean and well-maintained, the furnishings and decor are pleasant, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Wed. - Sat. after 6 p.m. are the most popular days.
(However, I don't like having to pay extra for an additional towel, or the staff actively soliciting tips, or the lack of heating in the cafeteria.)

Exclusively gay, located in a safe district a short taxi or bus ride from Miraflores. There are two Finnish rooms, two Turkish rooms, three private two-person jacuzzis, gymnasium, porno video room, male masseurs, bar, and nine private cabins. There is a strip show on Saturdays. It is clean and well-maintained; more popular after 6 p.m.

Baños Pardo, Av. Jose Pardo 182, Miraflores.

Open daily, 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Entrance charge is S/.35 Fri - Wed, S/.30 on Thu.
This is probably the best but it is not exclusively gay. Having said that, gays go there to meet but any activity is discouraged by the management. It has two Finnish rooms, two Turkish rooms, three plunge pools, large relaxation area, restaurant and bar, hair dresser, manicurist, pedicurist, laundry, plenty of dry towels, and masseurs of both sexes. Good meeting place but little or no action.
